Students will study the following:  ?Units: Knowledge and understanding: Unit 1: Understanding the Role, knowing your Responsibilities and having the Right Values for a Person-Centred Approach to Care  Unit 2: Understand the Principles and Practice of Effective Communication  Unit 3: Understanding the Principles and Practice of Equality and Diversity in the Workplace Unit 4: The Principals and Practice of Safeguarding Young People and Adults Unit 5: Having an Awareness and Understanding of Mental Health, Dementia and Learning Disabilities  Unit 6: Handling Information and Referral to Support Services in Nottingham  Practice and skills:  Unit 6: Moving and Handling with Care and Respect  Unit 7: Catheter Care, Stoma Care and Continence  Unit 8: Infection Prevention and Control  Unit 9: Health and Safety and Basic Life Support  Unit 10: Administration of Medication  Core competencies and online learning:  Unit 11: Maths in a Health and Social Care context
