At AS and A2 level you will work on independent research topics and case studies, and you are encouraged to develop your own theories around the concepts of media representation, ideologies, audiences and production practices. At AS Level you will create a foundation portfolio of print media work, focusing on school and music magazine productions. At A2 Level you will create an advanced portfolio of a promotional music package in which the practical elements include a CD cover, promotional tour poster and a music video using original imagery.
