The AS course is divided into 3 units. 1. Physical Chemistry - you will study the structure of the atom, mole calculations, structure and bonding, kinetics, equilibrium, energetics and redox chemistry. 2. Inorganic Chemistry - you will study trends in periodicity as well as trends in Group 2 and Group 7 of the periodic table. 3. Organic Chemistry - in this unit you will be introduced to organic chemistry including Alkanes, Haloalkanes, Alkenes and alcohols as well as analytical techniques. The A Level course is divided into the same 3 Units which you will study in greater depth.
