The BTEC National Diploma is a well-respected vocational qualification. It is worth the equivalent of TWO A level grades. It is commonly accepted as a progression route onto degree courses and for higher level jobs. The BTEC Diploma in Health and Social Care is assessed mainly by coursework. In the past, students have used their qualification in Health and Social Care to support an application for a degree in nursing, midwifery, teacher training or social work. Some students choose to go straight into employment with further training in areas such as Social Work, Caring and Education.
