Students will build on their knowledge from GCSE French course by studying a wide variety of topics and at the end of the course will be able to hold their own in demanding, intellectual conversations. Apart from their competence in the language, by studying AS French students will need to show a good knowldege of aspects of French-speaking social issues and current trends and artistic culture in the French-speaking world. As part of the syllabus students will also study a text or a film in the target language. grammar and key skills (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking) will also be developed further. In addition to the work covered in the AS course, at A2 you willl examine multiculturalism and political life in French speaking society.
