This course is for adults who can communicate, read and write well at Level 1, want to improve their reading skills and take the Level 2 Reading exam. On this course you will understand the format and the requirements of the exam and you will learn to develop critical reading skills exploring themes and ideas. You will learn to recognize and understand vocabulary associated with different types of texts, using appropriate strategies to work out meaning. You will learn to read at speed to extract information skim reading or reading for details.

Learners will take the ESOL ESB Level 2 Reading accreditation. There will be a final tutorial and progression interview at the end of the course.
