Mobile platforms are the fastest growing area in computing. Our dynamic courses look at keeping up with the latest trends and immersing learners in the latest technology - from IPhone/IPod development to Web technologies, through to games programming for the Wii U. Since 2010, we have been offering students the chance to develop their own apps for iPhone. It has been hugely successful and we're not stopping there. This course covers several programming languages and several platforms. For the first time, you will be given the opportunity to develop apps for Android as well as iPhone. For 2013, we're introducing something brand new. The Wii U debuted in November and we're already prepared to teach you how to develop for it and any other platform that supports Unity. You will be studying several languages including C, Objective-C for iPhone, Java for Android and JavaScript for Unity. It doesn't stop there. You'll get to study lots of other areas including network security, where you will work with Linux and discover some of the attacks that computer networks face. Web technologies are evolving. Websites are becoming more interactive and powerful than ever before. You will create interactive sites using various technologies such as PHP, JavaScript with jQuery and Node.js plus HTML 5 with CSS 3. Other areas include databases with MySQL, Human Computer Interaction using MultiTouch and computer systems architecture. Come and see what computing is all about.
