The Extended Diploma in Performing Arts gives you an excellent opportunity to gain an insight into potential career pathways within the performing arts industry. This course will provide you with a strong foundation to help you achieve your goals. You will develop practical performance skills and technical abilities which culminate in a major public performance project at the end of the academic year. This practical course focuses on classical and contemporary acting, physical theatre/movement and dance classes providing the opportunity to develop a range of skills needed for employment within the performing arts industry. Good links with local and national production companies, performance venues and theatre organisations provide valuable opportunities for learning and future employment. This is a 2 year programme delivered as follows: -1st year - Diploma -2nd Year - Extended Diploma Achievement of the 1st year (Diploma) will enable you to progress onto the 2nd year (Extended Diploma)

Students have the opportunity to be graded at full level 3 on their final major project. There is no exam. All students aged 16-19 may need to study GCSE English or maths if they have not already achieved a grade C.
