The Level 2 CACHE Certificate in an Introduction to Early Years Education and Care will build your knowledge and skills to work under supervision in a variety of settings and environments within the sector of children’s services. During the course you will study units including: An Introduction to Working with Children, The Developing Child, Safe, Healthy and Nurturing Environments for Children, Children and Play. You will need to complete a work placement. On successful completion, you can progress onto CACHE Level 3 Early Years Educator. You could look for employment as a nursery worker, teaching assistant, play-worker, children’s holiday rep, or a home-based child carer. Alternatively, combine work and study with an apprenticeship programme. This course includes a compulsory work placement element of a minimum of 65 days over one year. Work placements are arranged by the College. It is essential that learners can produce a clear Disclosure and Baring Service certificate in order to participate fully in this aspect of their training.
