The course will cover all aspects of multi platform broadcast production. You'll work on projects for Nottingham's new TV channel Notts TV, as well as develop and produce a number of practical projects which can be used as a visual portfolio for future employers. You'll work with crews from the regional and national broadcast industry to gain real work experience and learn to write, record and edit your own broadcast material using industry-standard software and hardware. You'll learn how to use Sony HD cameras, Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Maya and DVD Studio Pro, as well as professional sound, lighting and studio equipment. You will also study Functional Skills in Maths and English. English and Maths are an essential part of your studies and will help you succeed on your course. These subjects will help you develop confidence and are the key employability skills that all employers now look for when recruiting.
