AS LEVEL PERSONAL CREATIVE ENQUIRY = 100% of the qualification The Personal Creative Enquiry consists of an extended, exploratory project and outcome/s based on themes and subject matter which are personal and meaningful to the student. A LEVEL COMPONENT 1: PERSONAL INVESTIGATION 60% The personal investigation consists of two integrated constituent parts: 1. A major in depth critical, practical and theoretical investigative project based on themes and subject matter of personal significance. 2. An extended written element of 1000 words which contains images and must clearly relate to your practical project. COMPONENT 2: EXTERNALLY SET ASSIGNMENT 40% 1. Preparatory study period from the 1st Feb. Students select visual or written stimuli to be used as a starting point for their piece. Responses are developed during this prep time and this informs the resolution of ideas in the 15 hours sustained study time. 2. The resolution of the students ideas from the prep study period must be completed during the designated 15 hours.
