UPDATED 20151214 17:13:52

This course is intended to develop your understanding of the different forms and functions of English as it is used in everyday situations, and to build confidence in communicating effectively using both the spoken and written word. Functional Skills draws on a wide range of texts that you will encounter in everyday situations, such as letters, reports, newspaper articles and reviews. In order to develop your vocabulary and understanding of successful functional English, you should try to read a newspaper every day or perhaps read the news online. The more texts that you try to understand, the stronger your functional English skills will become.
