This course is taught over two years. This course emphasises the integration of the four language skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) and the study of “contemporary society”. The course comprises the following topics: 3.1.1. Aspects of society: current trends (the changing nature of family, the 'cyber-society' and the place of voluntary work). 3.1.2. Aspects of society: current issues (positive features of a diverse society, life for the marginalised and how criminals are treated). 3.2.1. Political and artistic culture: artistic culture (a culture proud of its heritage, contemporary francophone music and Cinema: the 7th art form). 3.2.2.Political and artistic culture: aspects of political life (teenagers, the right to vote and political commitment, demonstrations and strikes - who holds the power? - and politics and immigration).
Name: AQA Level 3 Advanced GCE in Spanish Qualification title: GCE A Level in Spanish Qualification type: Assessment Paper 1 is a 2.5 hour written exam on listening, reading and writing which comprises 40% of the A Level. Paper 2 is a 2 hour written exam responding critically to Spanish texts or a Spanish text and a film which comprises 30% of the A Level. Paper 3 is an individual research project oral examination which lasts 21-23 minutes including 5 minutes preparation time and comprises 30% of the A Level.
