Sewing for yourself and for your home has become very popular. If you watch those sewing programmes on TV but think, I'm not sure that I could make things then this is the course for you. The course will focus on making lovely and practical items for your home, and over a term you will learn how to make items such as cushions, curtains (with various headings) and roman blinds. By the end of this course the participants will be able to: Measure - fabric, windows etc. - in order to make items for your home; Feel confident in cutting fabric and in machine sewing; Know how to match patterns in fabric for large items such as blinds & curtains; Make a range of items for your home, such as, cushions, curtains (with various headings) and blinds; Feel confident in your ability to successfully make items for your home.
