Entry requirements

Your time at college will be studio - based. Learning activities include structured sessions specialist workshops and practical sessions. Most of your learning will take place through project work helping you learn more about different aspects of the art and design process. Trips to galleries and museums are also included in the programme to enrich your learning experience.You will learn to work independently and take responsibility for your own learning. The course is about building confidence and supporting you with your progression as well as developing artistic skills and producing a portfolio of artwork.How you are assessedAssessment will be by a mixture of coursework and exam. The exam will be 25% of your final grade. Individual learning targets are set each term and you receive regular feedback on your progress in meeting these targets. Formal assessment is through assignments projects presentations and practical assessments which are set at regular intervals throughout the course.
