Please note: this foundation degree is based at the UKSA centre in Cowes, Isle of Wight and is validated and supported by Falmouth Marine School. Do you want to study a life changing course? Do you have the passion to work in the Superyacht industry? Do you already work in the Superyacht industry? The FdSc in Operational Yacht Science is designed to work to produce professional Superyacht employees who want to have an employment edge amongst their peers and increase their options for their future careers. You will gain the skills you need to work as Deck Crew onboard Superyachts, working towards MCA Officer of the Watch 3000,(OOW3000), allowing you to work as a Deck Officer on Yachts up to 3000 GRT plus the experience and qualifications that allow you to work towards First Mate and Captain level. We work in partnership with the UKSA Cadetship course, and have a 90% employment record. If you are able to work hard, enjoy the yachting industry and are happy to spend long times abroad, then this course is worth the enquiry. NB. As this course is specialist and involves a lot of time on yachts achieving RYA and MCA qualifications, there are additional fees. Bursaries and sponsorship routes are available for those that enquire. The additional course fees are available on request.
