The qualifications aim to enable learners to understand the roles and responsibilities of those involved in supporting teaching and learning and provides an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to do this effectively. Learners must be available to attend a 3 hour taught session per week and commit to finding and attending a voluntary placement for 3 hours per week in a primary or secondary school. Screening of candidates English and Maths skills will take place prior to enrolment.
