Why should I follow this course? In today's world where ICT is constantly changing, individuals will increasingly need technological and information literacy skills that include the ability to gather, process and manipulate data. This course is for you if you want to understand these technologies for the benefit of individuals and organisations. You will become skilful in a range of software but more than this, you will learn to apply the technology appropriately. What will I learn? AS level Information, systems and applications Structured ICT tasks What teaching and learning methods will be used? Learning is achieved substantially through the practical use of ICT to perform useful tasks. A variety of other teaching methods are used, including discussions, presentations and teacher-led activities. What can I do when I have my qualification? In today's workplace, those with the knowledge and skills to use ICT creatively have the opportunity to pursue new and exciting careers. This qualification will demonstrate that you have a high level of skill with ICT and that you have the knowledge and understanding to apply that skill expertly. It will be of value should you wish to progress to higher education or to seek employment in the ICT industry or related sectors.
