E763 - Business Studies is one of the most interesting, relevant and varied subjects available. Whether you wish to be one of the 3 million people employed within the retail industry within the UK, or be part of a team of administrators, this course will help you to develop a greater knowledge and understanding of the business world and develop relevant skills for employment. The course will enable you to develop skills and knowledge that are essential for a positive transition into employment and to develop skills that are required by today's employers. A wide and varied range of subjects will be studied including Business Environment, Business Resources, Introduction to Marketing, Business Communications, Recruitment and Selection and Visual Merchandising. A strong focus is placed on developing English, Maths and IT and softer skills such as business awareness, communication skills, teamwork, self-management and people skills. Work experience will enable you to prepare for employment and to assist you to become more commercially aware. A further one year course within further education Apprenticeship in Business Administration or Accountancy This course is equivalent to up to 140 UCAS points Students have progressed onto posts in administration within both the public and the private sector, retail, accountancy and junior management positions, however, this course can lead to a number of positions across different sectors including Human Resources, Banking, Marketing and Customer Services.
