This innovative international horseracing business degree, has been developed with the horseracing industry to prepare graduates for the varied and highly commercial world surrounding the business of horseracing. And studying for a degree at Hartpury University Centre will give you unrivalled access to the horseracing and wider equine industry within the world’s largest equine institution. Topics of study on this specialist degree programme could include areas such as hospitality, sponsorship, media and the bloodstock business while exposing students to wealth of practical and work experience opportunities, including industry-led experiences and projects, thanks to Hartpury’s exceptional contacts within the equine industry. This degree can be completed full time in three years, or four years with an optional sandwich year spent working within the horseracing industry or another equine or related business. Part-time routes are also available. The course incorporates several opportunities for ‘live’ projects and a placement will be an essential component within the second year of study for all students. An integral study trip will allow students to experience the horseracing business environment first hand and provide networking opportunities for students to build their contacts and possible mentors, opening doors to the array of graduate careers on offer. Students will be encouraged to engage in various trips and visits. While many of these are included in the course fees, there will also the opportunity to engage in additional significant study tours, including experiencing international racing practices. It is estimated these costs could be approximately £1800. As well as core modules, students on the international horseracing business degree will have the opportunity to pick from a range of optional modules, enabling them to tailor the degree to their personal strengths and areas of industry interest.
