Level 2. This apprenticeship aims to train accountants to Technician Level (QCF Level 4), who are working for accountancy firms, or in finance or accounting in other organisations in roles such as sales and purchase ledger clerks, cashiers, assistant accountants and accounts managers. The AAT qualification gives apprentices a solid grounding in the basics of bookkeeping and costing and builds confidence through practical application of accounting knowledge throughout the levels. Completion of Level 4 gives the apprentice full exemptions from the first stage of ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW.
