Introduction to Web Design - Adobe Dreamweaver & Photoshop CS6

Learn how to create and edit web sites using CSS (cascading style sheets) with Dreamweaver & Photoshop CS6 during this ten week introductory course. People who have completed a Level 1 Dreamweaver course or who have equivalent experience and want to learn more. You will start in Photoshop by creating basic website elements: banner, logo, navigation. You will then use the slice tool to separate these objects into small files and then re-build the whole layout in Dreamweaver using div tags & CSS. You will then save this `Master Page+ as a re-usable template, using editable and non-editable regions where appropriate to add and manage content. The course will give you the skills and experience needed to build your own professional web site and prepare you for a longer/higher level course if desired. COURSE CONTENT: Photoshop: Canvas Size, Resolution, Rulers & Guides, Colour, Layer FX, Text, Free Transform, Slice Tool, Save for Web. Dreamweaver:Properties palettes, Defining a site; creating new pages; adding and formatting content; creating and formatting hyperlinks; adding page structure using div tags; creating and editing CSS; saving a page as a re-usable template, adding and managing jQuery content, publishing a website
