For this exciting Hair Professional Apprenticeship programme learners are required to be working for at least 30 hours in a salon. Depending on your workplace you will either attend college on a day-release basis or receive training in your salon for 18 to 24 months. This Professional Apprenticeship will enable you to gain valuable work experience whilst learning the practical and theory knowledge to allow you to progress in your career in Hairdressing. You will learn all elements in hairdressing including: Consultation Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp Cut hair using a range of techniques to create a variety of looks Style and finish hair using a range of techniques to create a variety of looks Colour and lighten hair using a variety of techniques You will also choose from the following optional units Perming Hair Hair relaxing treatments and techniques Hair extension services During this course you will need to complete Functional Skills in Maths and English if you do not have GCSE grades C and above. At the end of this apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to progress to a Barbering or Advanced Apprenticeship in Hairdressing.
