These include handling and setting up laboratory apparatus; carrying out risk analysis; safely following laboratory procedures and processes; recording and analysing data; and communication skills in recording and using information. Working in the Science Industry. The unit starts by exploring the essential procedures and practices found in all laboratories. Learners will also gain an appreciation of how scientific data and records are kept in a modern laboratory information system. This unit enables learners to consider what it is like to work in the science industry. Scientific Practical Techniques.
