This Level 2 course consistently offers motivated learners the opportunity to develop their art and design portfolios for successful entry to either Level 3 or 4, Foundation and other Art courses at KCC and University. The course consists of 8 units which cover an introduction to: Materials, processes and technical skills in Art & Design, Drawing, contextual research, communication, 2D & 3D creative problem solving, time based work, and developing and producing personal projects. The course is project based with an encouragement to develop personal ideas and a commitment to the development of drawing skills as a tool for the communication of ideas.
