HOSPITALITY - TRAINEESHIP

UPDATED 20170111 16:45:11

A Traineeship is a work based learning programme tailor made around your needs. It offers the chance to undertake quality work experience in an employment sector of your choice for a minimum of 100 hours. As a successful trainee you will have developed the skills and knowledge to apply for an Apprenticeship and be more skilled and confident to apply for jobs. You will cover maths and English skills, work preparation skills and have a practical work placement. If you feel that a work based learning programme is for you and are aged 16 to 24 without a full Level 3 qualification, a Traineeship might be for you. If you have little or no work experience, a Traineeship might be for you. You will study work preparation skills including CV writing, interview preparation and techniques, team working skills to support your progression and confidence building. All students aged 16 -19 are required to study Functional English and maths qualifications or GCSE maths and English if not already awarded a grade C/4 or higher in these subjects. If you have a grade D/3 at GCSE you will study maths and/or English GCSE. Students with a grade lower than D/3 will work towards GCSE through the study of maths & English Functional Skills. Students aged 19+ are strongly encouraged to take relevant maths and English qualifications to support progression into further or higher education, training or employment. We will help you find a suitable work placement which will run for up to 5 months depending on your needs.
