HAIRDRESSING - LEVEL 2 (NVQ)

This one year full-time course offers you a nationally recognised qualification in hairdressing. The course is detailed, carefully planned and designed to give you a wide variety of technical skills. Training at the College takes place in real live working environments and students are updated throughout the course on new techniques and products coming into the industry. The course is suitable for anyone who has a Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing and would like to further their career in the hairdressing industry. You may study the following: * Health and Safety * Give Clients a Positive Impression of Yourself and Your Organisation * Advise and Consult with Clients * Cutting Hair * Shampoo and Condition Hair and Scalp * Setting and Dressing * Style and Finish Hair * Changing Hair Colour * Plaiting and Twisting * Fulfil Reception Duties * Work placement All students aged 16-19 are required to study functional English and maths qualifications or GCSE Maths and/or English if not already awarded a GCSE grade C/4 or higher in these subjects. Students aged 19+ are strongly encouraged to take relevant maths and English qualifications to support progression to further or higher education, training or employment. All LMC students will receive tutorial support and take a programme of Functional Skills including maths and English.
