Pearson BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Exploring the Caring Sectors (QCF) 37 credits (12 Units) that provide for a combined total of 1080 guided learning hours (GLH) for the completed qualification. The unit assessment is internally set and marked. There are no exam or external assignments. Initial Diagnostic Assessment has to be completed before you are enrolled; this is to ensure you are put on the right course at the right level. You need to achieve Entry 3 English to be accepted on to the Level 1 course. Different assessment methods are used to ensure learning and teaching has taken place. For example, written assignments, role play, presentations, peer assessment, case studies, and/or practical demonstration. Flexibility is provided for learners with SEN; support is available from the SEN team. The maintenance of high standards is our priority, in order to make the lessons interesting and stimulating for all learners.
