The work of a business analyst incorporates many aspects of digital technology systems which require the business analyst to possess a broad foundation of skills and knowledge in order to be effective. This programme has therefore, been designed to give the apprentice a broad understanding of how to deliver a technology solutions project consistent with business needs and with an awareness of issues of quality, cost and time for projects including contractual obligations and resource constraints. The apprentice will create detailed analysis of systems and make recommendations for improvement. There will be an emphasis on capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders. The apprentice will apply modelling and analysis techniques to describe business problem scenarios and to help select solutions using a range of industry standard analysis techniques, to facilitate business decision-making. This degree apprenticeship blends employer defined knowledge and skills outcomes that are integrated and assessed as part of the degree. The degree apprenticeship will take typically be completed in 3 or 4 years as agreed with your employer. It leads to an Honours degree qualification that is contextualised for workplace competency as a digital and technology solutions professional that can operate as a Business Analyst. Honours degree apprentices will gain the knowledge, skills and insights that are in demand by employers today and into the future. The apprentice will be supported in contextualising this learning in the workplace by practitioners from the sector. Using industry specific technology and equipment the apprentice will also develop the technical, business, project interpersonal and behavioural knowledge and skills to operate professionally in the workplace.
