The BTEC qualification in Dance aims to provide a broad educational base for further training, further education and employment within the dance sector. The qualifications will develop learners’ abilities through the knowledge and skills gained in different parts of the programme. The Dance course will cover performance units with emphasis on practical assessments; units are selected based upon the students interests and abilities and may include: Performing to an Audience, Developing Contemporary Technique, Urban Dance and Jazz Dance.
