The qualification prepares learners for employment in the Engineering sector or further study at university. Learners who are already employed in the Engineering sector will be able to study for a qualification that will support their career progression. This course has the following pathways: General Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical/Electronic Engineering. A variety of units will be studied that will prepare students for progression within the many areas of Engineering. Units include: Engineering Science, Maths and Analytical Methods, Computer Aided Design Technologies, Project Design, Electronic, Electrical and Digital Principles, Electrical Power Systems, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Principles and Personal and Professional Development.
