BTEC 90 Credit Diploma in Health and Social Care provides students with a recognised career pathway towards health, social care and people orientated careers, for example: Nursing (adult, mental health and learning disabilities), Occupational Therapy, Health Studies, Social Work, Care Assistants, Carers in Homes and domiciliary care. This is a vocational course delivered by professionally qualified lecturers. The course requires a minimum of 300 hours within placements in a variety of health and social care settings (150 hours per year). This valuable opportunity enhances communication skills, supports the underpinning knowledge; allowing students to put theory into practice. The experience enables students to make an informed choice towards choosing the right higher education course / career.
