This qualification is an introduction to the primary aspects of working with children and young people in a play environment and supports the government's wider children's workforce development strategy. The qualification allows a stepped approach to learning with shared units between the Award, Certificate and Diploma and is primarily designed for those working with children and young people between 4-16 years of age in a variety of play environments. It provides learners with an understanding of the importance of play and playwork in children and young people's lives.
