This programme provides an ideal opportunity for exploring which Public Service you may wish to join. You also gain experience and a qualification prior to starting a training course with a particular Public Service. The course is made up of units of study that allow you to develop the skills and knowledge required to prepare you for a career in this exciting and worthwhile environment. You will be encouraged to work in groups, to communicate effectively, to identify and resolve problems and to organise yourself and the work of others. During the course you will have opportunities to learn about word processing, spreadsheets, graphs and databases. You will also have the opportunity to visit local Public Services to see their equipment and how they operate.
