This Programme will be offered at times throughout the academic year which runs from September 2014 to July 2015. To register your interest please contact Support Services: Broadstairs - 01843605062 (or email supportservices.broadstairs@eastkent.ac.uk) This course is designed for learners who are already working and would like to gain a nationally recognised qualification at Level 3. Learners will work through competence based units where they will demonstrate their practice and knowledge whilst working with their trainer/ assessor. Learners will work towards: Competency: Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF). Technical Certificate: Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care (QCF). Literacy and Numeracy: Fulfilled by completion of Maths and English at an appropriate level. ERR: Employment Rights and Responsibilities. PLTS: Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. All qualification elements must be achieved to complete the apprenticeship framework. There are a number of mandatory units in the workplace to be completed. Apprentices will be required to study a number of optional units linked to specific industry requirements. There is an expectation that candidates will undertake personal study in order to demonstrate knowledge of the subject area, and compile a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their competence.
