Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (Part Time)

This quali?cation is designed to build the knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people from birth to 19 years and is suitable for anyone who works or wants to work at a supervisory level in the children and young people's workforce. It covers a diverse range of job roles and occupational areas and is spilt into two pathways: - Social Care - Learning and Development Support Services. Learners will progress on to the following types of jobs - Supporting Teaching and Learning Workers - who visit families of pre-school children at home - Foster Carers - Children and Families Social Workers - Registered Managers of Children's Homes, plus Deputy and Assistant Managers - Residential Childcare Workers - Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service Advisers - Youth Worker - Community care officer - Professional assistant - Family centre worker - Or progression on to the NCFE CACHE Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services There are no formal entry requirements, however a good basic standard of English at level 2 (GCSE grade C or above) will be required to complete some written assignment work. You will be required to undertake a DBS check prior to starting the course. Any reprimands or cautions may affect your ability to access work placements.
