Art & Design A Level Graphics

UPDATED 20161122 12:31:02

Much of the information we take in from our phones, computers, ipads and the media are of a visual nature. A Graphic Designer uses words and pictures to communicate, inspire, entice, inform and educate. This is a practical course where you will build on your traditional art and design skills like drawing, photography and printmaking while learning new skills in contemporary IT based media such as Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design and web applications. You will work on projects which teach you about the design process where you will be required to solve real life graphical problems. This will encompass a range of graphic design techniques including the use of typography, illustration, advertising, branding and package design. The field of graphic design is always expanding as new technologies are developed and our course looks to reflect this.
