This course investigates the role the media industries have on our lives and examines how a wide range of media text influence and entertain us. You will learn practical skills such as camera work and video editing. Module 1 Media Representations and Responses looks at the key concepts that will apply in various ways throughout the course with a particular focus on representation, audience and media language. Module 2 Media Production Processes gives students the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge, understanding and skills used in media production processes through the production of their own practical pieces.
