This course is offered at foundation, intermediate and advanced levels.This BTEC course is practical and work-related. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. All of our college sites have a dedicated sports hall and various other facilities including an all-weather football pitch and fitness suites. You will develop the abilities, skills and techniques that are essential for working in the sport and leisure industry. Topics include:- The body in action- Health and safety in sport- Training and fitness- Team sports- Coaching- Psychology for sports performanceAt advanced level, you will have the opportunity to study more specialised topics such as:- Sports nutrition- Refereeing- Sport as a business- Sports injuriesYou will also learn employability skills.
