The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Information Technology is a course designed to develop a student's understanding of key issues related to IT as well as their practical skills using a wide range of software. In the first year students will cover topics such as computer hardware, computer software, emerging technologies, networking and databases. The topics covered in the second year of study include business use of social media, spreadsheet modelling and website development.
