Introduction to British Sign Language - Level 1

A ten-hour course consisting of basic and everyday sign language for greetings, family, clothes, colours, food and finger spelling. Brief information about the structure of the British Sign Language (BSL) level 1 course will be given by the tutor. An individual signing assessment at the end of the course determines suitability for level 1. This is a pre-requisite for the level 1 BSL course at Gloucestershire College.Students need good literacy skills, good memory, confidence to use facial expressions and dexterity with hands.
