Take your first step towards a successful career in sport, fitness and well-being with this Level 2 Fitness Instructing course at Weston College. Taught at our state-of-the-art education campus in Weston-super-Mare, just south of Bristol, this fitness instructing course is the perfect pathway if you are considering becoming a fitness instructor. You will study alongside like-minded fellow students from throughout the Bristol and North Somerset area and benefit from our outstanding quality and teaching by well qualified education professionals, all of whom have significant industry experience. This industry-recognised qualification is the standard entry route for anyone wanting to work as a freelance fitness instructor or as an instructor employed in a gym, health and fitness club or leisure centre. The course develops your understanding of exercise and fitness and teaches you how to safely instruct clients in the use of resistance and cardiovascular equipment. Our fitness instructing course is taught over a minimum of 84 hours with a variety of days to suit the student. The course is made up of modules designed to give students the educated understanding and practical skills required to work in industry. The course is assessed through assignment work (completed at home) and a practical assessment. You will need to complete between 30 and 40 hours as independent study. There will be an opportunity to further develop your English Speaking and Listening skills as part of this course. Where will studying Fitness Instructing lead me? Gaining your Level 2 Fitness Instructing qualifications with Weston College opens the door to a wide range of further training. This qualification offers entry on to the Level 2 Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) and is a pre-requisite qualification to gain access to Level 3 Personal Training qualifications, exercise referral or Level 4 Weight Management.
