Duration: 2 years This course is aimed at those wanting to learn creative and technical photographic skills with highly professional equipment; utilising our large studio',' darkroom and digital imaging software. Through focused project briefs',' you will develop a vocational understanding as well as creative and technical skills to ensure that your vision is captured with skill and imagination for a professional portfolio of photographs. You will develop creative',' technical and employability skills required for a successful career in photography. You will use high end digital equipment and 35mm film cameras',' developing skills such as film processing and printing in the darkroom and lighting techniques in the studios. Visits to exhibitions and galleries will develop your understanding of commercial photography. You will also be required to sit four externally set practical examinations over the two years. At the end of your second year',' your work will be exhibited in the College end of year show as well as other exhibition opportunities throughout the course. Entry Requirements: Five GCSEs A*-C Grade',' must include English',' Maths or a Level 2 First Diploma at a Merit with C Grade GCSE in English and Maths. You will be required to attend an interview with your photographic portfolio. You also need a positive recommendation or reference from your school/tutor. Career Options: Progression to higher education or a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.
