This 'Computing - Further Steps' course in Sevenoaks will enable students to progress their computing skills., , By the end of this course, students will be able to:, , - Use a computer with confidence; , - Produce documents on Word using some of the advanced features;, - Produce spreadsheets on Excel using some of the advanced features and , - Use the Internet for interest and research. , , There should also be an opportunity to look at an additional topic that is of interest to your group. Those adults who have undertaken some initial computer training such as Start Computing and Next Steps Computing or who are self-taught computer users. You will know your way around the keyboard, be able to use a mouse confidently and hve soem experience of using Microsoft Windows.,

You will need a pen, a notepad, a folder for keeping course materials and a USB memory stick so that you can practise and use documents you have produced at home., , You will ideally have access to a computer in order to practise outside of class time (at home, at work or at the library). , , ** Please note: If you are storing any data/images on transferrable data devices (memory sticks, portable hard drives, etc.) please make sure that you have back-up files saved elsewhere and when removing devices have followed the 'safely removing hardware' guidelines on the PC.
