The aim of this one-day course on restoring old photos, is to enable students to take an old photograph and restore it to something near its original quality. The photo may be torn, have crease marks, dust or scratches, or simply have faded from black and white to sepia or lost the brightness of its colours: no matter what the problem, we show you how you can restore it to something like its original condition. We use the popular editing software Photoshop Elements. You will learn how to use its clever features such as the Clone Stamp tool, the Spot Healing Brush and the Brightness and Colour controls and will restore a damaged photo taken from a real-case scenario. If you have brought your own photo, you can have a go at restoring that as well., Topics include: , , - Getting your old photo on to the computer, - Launching Photoshop Elements, - The Toolbars, - The Menu, - Using the Tools to re-touch your photograph, - Saving and printing the restored version, , Adults who want to learn how to use a new digital camera.
