MATHS GCSE 19+

GCSE Maths is one of the key subjects and a good result will impress any potential employer. Studying GCSE Mathematics will also help you with number skills and improve your ability to think logically. You will learn many different techniques that will help you throughout your studies and your life. You will follow the linear syllabus from AQA. It consists of lessons, assessed homework and two examinations, one with the use of a calculator, one without. All students will study at higher level, which would allow grades ranging from A8-D. Class time is 3 hours a week; you will also be expected to do additional work to achieve your qualification.
