Access courses are designed to enable people aged 19+ to gain a qualification which is accepted by universities as an alternative to A' Levels. Access courses are delivered over one year as opposed to the two years required for A 'Levels. An access course is therefore ideal for anyone who left school without formal qualifications, or for people who wish to change career without having to do two years of A' levels. This Level 3 course is an introduction to Computing across a range of topics including Computer Hardware, Software, Operating Systems, Programming, Web Design, Web Development, Databases, Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Systems Analysis, Research Skills, Study Skills and Maths. The course will also help you to improve your writing, ICT and numeracy skills and give you access to a range of University courses. You will receive an Access to HE Certificate on completion of this course with a minimum of 60 credits.
