IAB Level 1 Award in Computerised Accounting for Business with Sage (new)

Gain a Level 1 qualification and learn the basics of book keeping to enhance your chances of employment in this field. You will learn the basics of manual bookkeeping then progress onto using the industry standard software, Sage 50. Course fee includes a time-limited version of Sage for home study. Upon successful completion of the assessments in class you will be award the Level 1 IAB Award. This course features a combination of theoretical, manual and computerised bookkeeping and is suitable for beginners to bookkeeping. Pre-course interview required, please contact the College on 020 8460 0020/020 8659 7976 to arrange this. Please note you MUST have a PC at home in order to study between lessons. The course is broken down into four unitsIntroduction to bookkeeping:Understand the job role and career path of a bookkeeperUnderstand difference types of business organisationsKnow the terminology used in bookkeepingWorking within bookkeeping:Understand single-entry bookkeeping Know the general principles of VAT Understand what is meant by both cash and credit transactions Understand the principles of coding and batch control Understand how to process information in the books of prime entry (excluding the Journal)Understand responsibilities when working in a bookkeeping environment Banking procedures: Understand the banking process Understand document retention and storage requirementsComputerised accounting softwareAccess, enter and edit accounting information Use tools and techniques to process business transactions Produce accounting documents and summary reports to meet requirements No as this is an intensive qualification course. Yes upon succesful completion of the assessments you will gain an IAB Level 1 Level 1 Award in Computerised Accounting using Sage and an electronic Sage UK certificate, which you can print off at home.
