Advanced Apprenticeship in Paralegal

The Advanced Apprenticeship in Paralegal covers the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to demonstrate competence within a Paralegal role. The standard aims to develop understanding of the English legal system, the creation of Acts of Parliament, court hierarchy, dispute resolution and other key legal concepts relevant to your area of law. Additionally the standard aims to enhance apprentices skills in communication, case management, legal research and client care. To achieve the Advanced Apprenticeship in Paralegal apprentices will be require to demonstrate their competence through an independent end point assessment to include a portfolio of workplace evidence and a scenario based assessment. On successful completion apprentices will be awarded the CILEx Level 3 Diploma in Providing Legal Services.You will learn through a combination of on- and off-the-job training. You will attend college one day per week during term time and spend the rest of your time earning and learning in the workplace. Your progress will be continuously monitored and supported by an Apprenticeship Achievement Officer.Advanced apprentices, with experience, support and opportunities in the workplace, can progress onto Higher Apprenticeship Standards for Chartered Legal Executive and Solicitor.
