This is a taster day providing an introduction to a selection of Essential Oils and their uses in the home. Massage is often used as a method of gaining the beneficial properties of these oils however we will also look at their application in inhalations, baths, room burners, hot and cold compresses for a range of uses in promoting physical and emotional health and harmony. , , You will have the opportunity to experience the aromas of a number of essential oils and to make a blend with carrier oil that may then be used in a simple back massage., , By the end of the workshop you will be able to describe at least 3 methods of using essential oils in addition to massage. You will also be able to explain: safe dilutions of use, the basis of blending different oils and be able to describe a number of properties of at least 3 oils discussed during the day. You will be able to perform a short/simple back massage with guidance from the tutor (and at home with the aid of the notes provided)., Anyone who wishes to learn about essential oils in a relaxed and friendly environment. Anyone interested in complementary therapies, anyone interested in using essential oils for health, harmony and household, or students or therapists with experience in other therapies who wish to learn something new., As some oils should not be used during pregnancy we advise pregnant ladies not to attend this course,
